Volunteers for our project

We are happy to welcome any volunteers who can help us to develop our project further. Our volunteers need to have an agricultural background of some kind. What we don't need is someone who only does the same manual tasks that our employed farm workers do, this would not really contribute to our project and the farm workers wouldn't be too happy about that. But if you study agricultural or biological sciences, or have had some useful pracical experiences with other experimental farms already, you are fit for our project and we are glad to have you here! One example of our problems here at our farm is that many of our methods have proven to work, but we still don't know why because we have no one to analyze them. If you are out for valuable experiences to take home and a nice time on the Philippines anyway, you are on the right address here! People who are openminded and interested in new ideas are welcome. What we don't need is any kind of political, religious or esoteric fanatism. It is important to be respectful to our local population. The people here are all quite welcoming to foreigners and kind tempered, they will be interested in who you are and where you come from. With a mannered and open minded attitude it is easy to become comfortable with them.   What we can offer in exchange for your work here is a free accommodation with a clean room with toilette, shower and free meals. We cannot however offer payment in money, due to tight funding limits in this project.

We are located only 3 kilometers from a nice beach with a coral reef, far away from mass tourism. Within a 25 minute car ride there is the Concocep jungle park on Mount Isarog where you can take a bath under a small waterfall. For people who like to play tennis there's a well maintained tennis court in Tigaon. At the market site in the town center of Tigaon you will see a colorfull choice of fish, meat and vegetables.  There are also several supermarkets, pharmacies, Billard halls, Videokes and Internet Cafes. The next bigger city, Naga, is in 45 kilometers distance where you can find a wakeboarding range, shopping centers, hospitals, an airport and so on. Every day there are 3 flights going to Manila, enduring natured people can also take the bus which takes 9 hours to go to there. For more informations have a look to our "Links and Videos" page.
