Free dentist treatment for the people

Since about 25 years we have funded several health projects and initiated "free clinics", employing local medical personel only. Inexpensive and government approved medication comes in from Manila. This way we can operate our medical project with low costs. The treatment of a patient including the medication has an average price of not more than 2 Euro. Furthermore we have arranged  schools, churches and other public institutions to get in contact with various development organizations. Now we have managed to get free treatment from doctors and dentists for school children nearly all the time. In all this we stay strictly neutral concerning politics, religion or any kind of ideology. That way we are able to stay in good relation to many important institutions and persons from Tigaon and neighbouring municipalities.

Up to now Tigaon does not have a hospital. Soon at least a state emergency ambulance will be opened. Many bigger hospitals are in Naga City, 45 kilometers away. Despite many systematic improvements during the last years, falling ill or having an accident remains a catastrophe for many people ending up in unemployment and poverty. Through or production of fresh local goods we hope to combat incomplete nourishment and so to improve the health situation here indirectly. One important role will come to the moringa tree, its leaves being rich in vitamins and other important nutrients.

The free clinics always have a child doctor available.

Free medication for low income patients

Material donations are often problematic because of high transport costs. A 10 kilogramm oversee package will cost up to 52 Euro and can cause serious problems with the Philippine custom office.  As we have sometimes oversee deliveries for ourselves in our organisation we are sometimes able to take small material donations with them. Not useful are cumbersome or oversized objects of all sorts and medications.
