Our Ship-in-Bottle Museum is hosted inside the Welcome Point Restaurant,
a world known unique attraction where all in- and outgoing vessels at the
Elbe river near Hamburg are welcomed by their respective national anthems
through big loudspeakers. One of the most famous places for tourists in
Hamburg. During summertime the place is also accessable by river ferry
boat, destination "Schulau" from the Hamburg port area. All year round you
can reach "Welcome Point" by Hamurg S-Bahn, Station "Wedel", then Bus 189 or
Taxi (approx. 2 KM from WEDEL station)

More than 220 unique Ships-in-Bottles from all over the world are permanently displayed. Miniatures as well as Giant Bottles, ancient and newly made. An almost complete impression of the Ship-in-Bottle art from now and yesterday.
At present a model of HMS VICTORY in a 40 litre bottle is the largest bottleship of the collection.
In addition there is another room with an impressive
display of sea shells from all over the world. A Museum Shop with a wide
range of Ships-in-Bottles, Seashells, Souvenir items, Flags, Nautical
Keyholder, maritime decorative items, books and picture postcards is also
available for your needs.
Admission fees are EURO 1.50 for adults, EURO 1.00 for retiered or
handicaped persons, children, students, soldiers etc. Children accompanied
by full paying parents free admission (Family Tarif).
The Ship-in-Bottle Museum is open from March to October daily 10am to
6pm, during winter only Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays and public holidays.
